Excercise and Cancer- Movement to Wellness

Yoga-Young-Cancer-Patients

In this weeks class of medical intuition, we began the deep topic of Cancer.   This is a disease which affects far too many and most of us have known at least 1 person in our lives who has gone through this unimaginable experience. When we see movies our shows on television the cancer patient is usually seen in more sedentary positions and not very active. Meanwhile assuming rest and more rest to be the answer to healing though this is not the case.

What I came to find out through research is that while undergoing cancer treatment, it’s extremely important on a variety of levels to keep moving! There are many different stages that a cancer patient undergoes. For many who have had chemotherapy and radiation especially woman, a hard challenge to face is fatigue and bone density loss. In this case exercise could be considered for shorter durations throughout the day. Weight training as well and cardio is helpful for many reasons such as helping with bone density, improving muscle mass, helping fatigue, improved sleep, improving constipation and overall mood. Professor Robert Newton who’s the co-director of the ‘Exercise Medicine Research group, stated that during a particular study of patients who exercised, he found that they had less fatigue as well as improvement with nausea, which is a side affect of Chemo and radiation.

To say that exercise helps patients is an understatement. Exercise drastically improves a patient’s quality of life. Though it’s important to realize that there are many stages and types of cancer so it would help to research a modality that suits your individual needs and always consult a physician when undergoing a new regimen for yourself.  Allowing your body to be your guide through movement is essential. The important thing to remember for those who have Cancer is to find things that bring you joy amidst this challenging time and to love and be gentle with yourself!

Food for Life

eatright

I have always been a health advocate. I have gone through a myriad of illnesses with very few answers from my Dr.’s in the last 7 years.  I have  always known that health was important but perhaps not realizing that my idea of healthy eating could be flawed.

For our class in Medical Intuition we were assigned to watch a movie called ‘What the Health’. I had no idea what it was about then realized it was supporting a vegan lifestyle. I resisted listening initially and later noticed how every preconceived notion I had about eating animal protein was actually false! As this movie was filled with facts from actual Physicians who had seen patients health dramatically improve in 2 weeks. A woman who had dozens of symptoms from asthma to heart disease was able to eliminate all of her medications and for the first time in a year be able to excercise.

My feeling initially was where will humans get our protein?  I had been told that our canine teeth were part of our omnivorous nature. Well come to find out our incisors aka (canines) are actually significantly smaller than a meat-eating animal. Another amazing fact I learned was how as babies we drink our mother’s milk. For all of our lives we’re told milk is good for you for protein and calcium; only to learn that human milk is the lowest of many animals as far as the protein content!

It was an incredible eye opener to learn how the pharmaceutical companies as well as the Agriculture industry literally throws money at our government to keep us ill as well as blind! They are in fact the biggest money makers in the world and at the expense of humans and animals that are ill-treated, disease ridden and pumped with antibiotics and fed with Gmo corn and soy food! All of what these animals experience we are experiencing on a cellular level.

I’m not here to turn anyone into a vegan, that isn’t my mission, but I’m willing for myself to at least try eating a plant-based diet. What do I have to lose? Perhaps an auto immune issue that has had me ill for 7 years!  As far as what I will gain, perhaps a feeling of wellbeing and optimal health and longevity. I ask that anyone considering their health and the health of the collective give this movie a chance. It could change your perspective.

The consciousness of our liver

emotion_cycle

While navigating through our medical intuitive class I had the luxury to put our beautiful organ, our liver, under a psychic microscope. The liver has so many components physically and emotionally. This powerhouse of an organ filters everything that goes inside of our body! Basically the liver calls the shots in terms of what the body utilizes and releases. As well as foods and chemicals it has the ability to house some pretty deep emotions.

Through shedding some light on this organ, we looked at various emotions that we were storing inside our liver, predominantly the negative ones which stored long enough can prevent our liver from operating smoothly. Our liver wants to have smooth and graceful experiences and to allow emotions to come in as well as be swept out in a healthy fluid motion is so important to a happy liver. So the next time you decide to harbor an emotion, ask your liver how it feels about bringing in that emotional guest. Love your liver!

Magestic messages from a white horse

horse

Throughout my animal communication course in Medical Intuition I was blessed with a white majestic horse named Zion in a channeling. I will translate the beautiful messages that came through. He came through with an incredible strength and power that he wanted me to inhabit. ‘You are a strong dynamic being that is leaving behind very old outdated patterns. You have already stepped into your power and now it’s time to OWN your power! There’s a small amount of old fear needing to be released in order to live out your dreams and potential. Run wild and free back into your arms and embrace yourself with all of your might! Take charge of your life that you’ve created, you’re already there and just need to take notice of how far you’ve come. You’ve arrived at your destination. Embracing the good in your life will take practice daily. Picture yourself stepping into a new set of shoes that represent the new you. Be strong, courageous and proud of who you’ve become. Now go forth and own it!’

Much thanks and love to this beautiful creature that has blessed me with his majestic presence. I hold you Zion in a beautiful light. Your messages filled me with hope and courage and will not be forgotten.

Owl spirits~ A children’s fable

TINY-OWLS-NEW-VIOLET-BABY-OWL-OMG-SHE-HAS-ODD-EYES

Deep in the mountains high up in the redwoods lived a family of owls. There was a momma owl, a papa owl, a sister owl and a brother. Now these weren’t just ordinary birds, oh no, they were spirit owls! Spirit owls are here to bring peace and comfort to special children who’ve just entered into the spirit world.

One day mama and papa owl knew it was time to share their gifts and knowledge with sister and brother owl. They decided to have that special talk. Mama owl says to her little owlets, ‘Today is a special day, we will be teaching you about ancient wisdom and how to use your gifts to help human children and their families.’ Brother and sister owl listened intently. Then papa owl chimed in, ‘Our job is to help children feel safe and less confused as we prepare them for their next soul’s adventure into another life.’ The owlets were so excited about this adventure and they said ‘Yeah! We finally get to play with human children!’ Papa then said ‘Yes, but it’s not just playing, it’s a job that takes dedication and focus as well. I know you both are ready!’

Their  first mission was to start that evening. They were advised to wait for a sign from Grandpa owl. While they waited Mama and Papa owl began explaining about how important their wings were and how to use them to protect the children.  He went on to talk about their eyes. The eyes showed the  children pictures that they understand to help them feel safe and remind them of there beautiful life on earth that they had.

Sister and brother listened with focus and asked many questions, they both wanted to make sure they understood their valuable jobs in owl country. At exactly 10:00 pm they received the sign from Grandpa  and they flew the coop! Away they flew as Grandpa guided them to the destination, which was in a hospital. There lay a little boy about their age and he had passed to the spirit world from an illness.

Sister and brother began to see the childs spirit glowing a beautiful rainbow of colors. These colors were his aura which is the energy in and around everyone which holds valuable information. Just then the little boy named Gerald said out loud, ‘Where am I and why are my parents crying?’ This was the cue to assist him. So right away brother started to use his wings to help blow away all of Gerald’s fear and help him relax. Sister began showing Gerald through her eyes beautiful pictures of his life and how much his family loved him. They showed him that the spirit world was his new home and he had another family that would protect him up  in the light. Then the owlets began to work their magic on the family. They showed the family that God was up their awaiting Gerald’s arrival and would love him just as much as they do.  The family felt relieved and were ready to find peace.

Off they escorted little Gerald to a world so beautiful he could hardly believe his eyes, there were flowers and rainbows everywhere as well as animals and other human spirits. There were even children! God welcomed him into this beautiful kingdom with open arms and a big hug. Gerald felt the peace and began to feel at home again.

Once the owlets came home they told their parents everything and Mama and Papa exclaimed how proud they were of them both! That night sister and brother slept soundly with dreams of beautiful auras and bouncy children in the arms of God. This is the story of owl’s powerful medicine that is always around. You can even call on an owl anytime you wish to bring comfort and feel at peace. Sweet owl dreams, hooo hooo.

The eyes through Honu

green-sea-turtle-swimming

Turtle’s are amongst the most methodical and slow-moving creatures here on this planet. Surprising to many they have been around for approximately 220 million years! There’s a beautiful grace amongst this species that this week in our animal communication class we were asked to channel. All of the students had similar insights into what they’re here to teach us! We have much to learn and value from turtles,  first and foremost being, mastering the art of slowing down. There’s a divine grace amongst these beautiful creatures that we can learn  so much from. Taking our time in our lives is so pertinent that many of us go into auto pilot through our days. Learning to observe our surroundings in a methodical way and realizing that we can speed through life or take our time and enjoy it, while recognizing that everything we NEED to take care of will be yet in a more peaceful way if we so choose.

A Hui Hou to our divine Honu!

Owl Wisdom

f877d1fabfc7c636deded23669a86aa5

This week I was blessed to channel and connect with a wise owl. These keen observers of the night are here to preserve and teach us many ancient ways if we are opened to listen. His message was to rise above the world of thought and connect to old ancient wisdom that allows us to learn to be the observer with in and around us. Allow the silence deep inside of us to permeate our body, mind and spirit. The stillness inside will connect us with our deep truth and inner wisdom. When we release the chattering mind we are keen observers. We can allow an infiltration of our energy waves to conncect our lives in synchronized patterns of flight to where we are needing to be. There is a deep knowing and truth that resides amongst all of us if we are still enough to listen. Bask yourself in nature and enjoy your stillness and connection to your inner widom and nobility.

Creating Beautiful Boundaries

boundaries-2

As we go through our day, do you ever notice how much of our focus is spent on others? If you’re a sensitive being, then it’s almost second nature to be in a conversation with someone as they’re telling you their problems and meanwhile you’re absorbing it all. Part of us gets so absorbed in being there for others that we have a difficult time knowing where we end and they begin. We all  do this unconsciously and at many times in our lives we’ve played both roles. The role of the dumper and the dumpee!

In the last week I’ve had many amazing experiences and lessons in boundaries. Multiple people have been drawn to me to listen. Now let me explain. There’s a difference between being in a reciprocal conversation that feels as though both parties are having  a conversational exchange of sharing, and a conversation where you’re sitting there listening to someone go on and on about all of their problems. As I continued to be there for these people, throughout the week I felt my energy become completely drained and almost felt ill for days. Finally the light bulb went off!

When we pay close attention to our body and energetic field we will start to notice that when in this situation we will walk away feeling energetically and physically drained and a sense of negativity. That is because we’ve taken on their problems as if they were ours to take on! Their energy became our energy. Before we know it we’re completely feeling out of sorts.

Therefore it is OUR job to check in when in this situation. Asking ourselves a few questions, How am I feeling? Am I feeling like my energy is being sucked from me? Am I anxious?

The good news is when we start to notice any of these symptoms there are tools! We can do a quick scan of our bodies and picture our energy body as particles, see ourselves gathering up all of our particles from the other person that we’ve unconsciously given away.  Picture a broken egg shell coming together; we will begin to feel all of our essence coming back to us. we can practice being in a place of neutrality. Another way is to create a color around our body that feels like protection. Know that their issues are theirs and not meant for us to take on or in. Lastly we always have the right to end a conversation if that feels safer.

It is no one’s job or obligation to fix anyone’s issues, whether large or small. There are practitioners that are being paid money to do that! We can only hold space for those in crisis out of a true wanting. Our time and energy is valuable. Love yourself enough to begin to create your beautiful boundaries!

Sugar: the good the bad and the ugly

Today I will be writing about a sweet and yet dangerous food that we all eat…sugar. As we awake, we make our tea and coffee and add whatever we can to spruce it up a bit for the sake of our palate. Whether it’s honey, sugar, maple syrup or agave, it all has the same effect believe it or not!

During our homework for my Medical intuitive class we were to do a reading on one another on the subject of sugar. We were to look at both the negative and positive effects. What I discovered immediately in my reading of my homework partner were little hard-shelled looking bugs, that mimicked something similar to a tick. These little bugs had energy of dominance, strength and determination to keep each other alive. While my partner had admitted she was in the middle of a cleanse,  what I happened to see was a few little critters, which I equated to being candida in her head. These little bugs had only one agenda, and that agenda was to keep alive! Candida is a strong-willed fungus that is extremely old and loves to live in places that foster its diet which is sugar.

I also saw that they have the ability to go dormant and yet can rear their heads in different parts of our body, via the head, genitals, bladder and feet. While they are being threatened through anti fungal herbs, they go into panick and fight to keep each other alive, this is why yeast is so tricky to get rid of. They work together in a militant fashion and meanwhile cause horrible symptoms; some of which include, brain fog, fatigue, yeast infections, irritability and depression. I personally showed up at a naturopath’s office to go over some of these symptoms and immediately he said “We need to get you on a cleanse!” I would of never guessed candida was the issue to my CFS! As I told him that I had Epstein Barr he mentioned that the two go hand in hand! Since I’ve been on this cleanse using a product called, Monolaurin, which is derived from coconut oil, I began to feel a difference in the first week! My cravings for sugar are slowly decreasing as well.

As much as cleanses are great for our body in so many areas, it’s also important to work on the addiction behind sugar. We choose sweets for so many reasons, whether it’s nostalgia of family tradition around holiday times, habit or even just that rush we get in the first 20 minutes when it hits our blood stream. We can learn to find other foods and activities that nourish and soothe us while appreciating and honoring our bodies at the same time. I ask that to all of you reading this blog that you can look into self-awareness around what sugar may mean to you and finding other more beneficial foods that will keep your mind and body functioning from a clear place of natural vitality during the holidays!
